David Paul "Dave" Amato (born March 3, 1953; age 71) is an American musician, guitarist, and singer. He provided background vocals during the recording of Petra's album Beyond Belief. Amato is best known for being the lead guitarist for the band REO Speedwagon. He also played in the band Mastedon, with the Elefante brothers.
