God Fixation is the eighteenth studio album from Christian rock band Petra. It was released in April 21, 1998 by Word Records. It is the first album to feature band members Pete Orta and Kevin Brandow.

Album history[]

God Fixation was recorded and mixed at The Sound Kitchen in Franklin, Tennessee. Additional recording took place at The Snack Bar in Brentwood. Recording and mixing was handled by J.R. McNeely, except for "The Invitation", which was mixed by Richie Biggs. Ken Love was in charge of mastering, at Master Mix, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Reception[]

God Fixation earned Petra their eleventh Grammy nomination. The album was nominated in the category of Best Rock Gospel Album.
