Mike Brandenstein (born August 28, 1963) is an American musician and bassist. He played with Petra during 2001.

Career

Brandenstein has played the bass since youth. He trained with bassist and educator Roy Vogt, from Belmont University, and Reggie Wooten.

During his career, Brandenstein has collaborated with artists like Michael Tait and Brian White. He toured with Petra during their Revival tour in 2001, before Greg Bailey joined the band.

After his time with Petra, Brandenstein served as a pastor and music director in South St. Louis. In 2013, he started teaching bass, specifically to worship musicians.

Brandenstein is currently the assistant pastor of worship and pastoral care at Grace and Peace Fellowship in St. Louis.
