Vertical Expressions is the first album released by II Guys from Petra, a collaborative project from Bob Hartman and John Schlitt. It was released independently in January 26, 2007.

Album historyEdit

Vertical Expressions features a collection of classic worship songs rearranged by Hartman and Schlitt. It was produced by Hartman himself, with additional production by former Petra member Jim Cooper.

The vocals and guitars were recorded at Hartman's own studio, House of Bob Studios, while the remaining instrumentation was recorded by Cooper at Lake Dog Studios in Franklin, Tennessee. The album was mixed by Tony Palacios at The Palace in Springhill, Tennessee.

The album features two songs that were recorded by Petra during their Petra Farewell live concert at The W on October 4, 2005. This songs feature Greg Bailey on bass and Paul Simmons on drums.
